You will be completely vulnerable and Norton will not protect you when using an unsupported and unsafe browser.

In fact I've explained before that Norton is often the problem in many if not most cases I've handled over the past twelve years where it is mentioned.īut entirely apart from the fact that Norton is not recommended by anyone except to uninstall, to run Safari much longer on PC is a very serious security risk that I would not take with all of the threats that are out there now. Norton will not protect you from the security holes you will be opening up by running an unsupported browser. You cannot safely run a browser without regular security updates, not to mention performance patches that are required to keep it running. Not providing Updates for a browser is the same as discontinuiing it. If it's the version quoted in Dyari's link above then it's the last version Apple will be providing since they are no longer providing Updates for Safari on Windows. Jerry you'd better check what version that is.

I am using M.Edge for a year without any major issues, you can try it. May I know why you do not want switch to M.Edge? There is no official link to download it from, search for "Download Safari 5.1.7 for Windows" from internet and you can find it from third-party sources but be aware of that it is not recommended to download it from third-party sources since Apple officially discontinued it. Safari 5.1.7 for Windows was the last version made for Windows, and it is now outdated.
